about me

I’ve been around the block a couple of times. I’ve been a medic in the military, a counselor in the Psychiatric/Security unit of a prison for women, and a private investigator specializing in criminal defense. I’ve picked up a few degrees and taught various courses in criminology and sociology at The American University in Washington, D.C. and at Fordham University in New York City. Now I’m primarily a writer and photographer.

I’m the managing editor of Utata.org–an international collective of photographers engaged in a variety of ongoing projects. I teach advanced workshops in Mystery Writing for the Gotham Writers’ Workshop.

Like I said, I’ve been around the block a couple of times. It’s a good block; I expect I’ll keep going around it for a while.

I can be reached at either of these email addresses:

  1. It has been nice catching up here on your blog Greg. You write so well and it makes me, the reader happy to continue to the next story.

  2. your writing is very witty and keeps me wanting to read more!!!….Thanks for the laughs and chuckles tonight…Take care and best wishes on all your adventures………….

  3. I like the juxtaposition of such a danger-filled resume with the fluffy Hippie look you’ve settled into, glasses askew. It’s comforting and unnerving all at once, prefect camo for the smart writer in the field.
